The internet is my life. Over the past decade, the internet I loved started to decay—becoming consolidated into closed silos, optimized for capture, and losing its generative energy.

Starting a typical company doesn't solve this for good. High-growth companies are structurally extractive: once investors view an entity purely as a financial vehicle, the mandate shifts to extraction and lock-in.

What matters most rarely generates money directly. Foundations like TCP/IP, HTTP, and web browsers created trillions in value without capturing it. Companies succeed on an internet that was already built.

To build what matters most, you must answer to nobody—including shareholders. I committed my savings to build an enduring, uncaptured organization that fuels the next big ideas for the web with no strings attached.
